Date: Thursday, February 21st
Time: 11:10 am-12:10 pm

Come join Sam Hebel from the Office of Civic Engagement and faculty from humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences to learn more about recent faculty-student collaborative projects that engaged Cornell students with their local and global communities. This presentation will include brief overviews of recent experiential learning initiatives by Professors Devan Baty (French), Tammy Mildenstein (biology) and Tori Barnes-Brus (sociology) followed by time for questions and discussion. The Advisory Committee for Civic Engagement invites interested faculty to bring their lunch to Ringer Dining Room after the talk to dive deeper into civic engagement and be trained by Iowa Campus Compact staff to develop their own civic engagement based course.
