A Stammtisch is a dining table around which friends join for fun and conversation. At Cornell, our Stammtisch meets in the dining hall (look for the blue German "Stammtisch" sign) every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon and offers you the chance to speak and listen to some German. All abilities are welcome! Come and enjoy!
11:15 am"Hello From The Other Side" & remembering our dead Allee Chapel
Over a cup of cider, listen to one another's "Hello from the other side" stories involving signs, dreams or meaningful synchronicities connecting us with deceased loved ones. Everyone is also welcome to briefly name, light a candle, & join us in a prayer of gratitude for deceased loved ones, mentors (who can be from any time in history--ie. a poet) or favorite saint. This event commemorates All Souls & All Saints. Brief, inclusive Communion follows. All welcome! Story tellers include Greg Cotton, Steven Strope, Michelle Mouton, and Rev. Writing a good personal statement is one of the hardest and most important parts of any application. This workshop breaks down how to write a competitive personal statement for graduate / professional school in healthcare. You will also work on developing an autobiography to help generate ideas for a personal statement. This workshop is identical to the other one today.
