During WWII, the U.S. government rounded up over 5,000 Latin Americans of German, Japanese, and Italian descent and forcibly brought them to camps in Texas and elsewhere. There, hundreds were "traded" for Axis-held U.S. nationals. How was this possible? Could it happen again? Join us in a conversation between the Assistant Director of Intercultural Life and Mark Kendall, the associate director of the Dimensions Program for Health Professions, about their challenges with mental health and how their identities both affect and are affected by depression and anxiety. The conversation will also include how they manage and have learned from their mental health challenges and how they use this knowledge to educate others. This event is open to the Cornell College and greater local communities.
