A learning, support, & practice group for helping you be happier & more compassionately skillful with stress & other difficulties amid everyday life. Singing bowl sound/vibration healing also enfolded. Fridays (except Block Breaks) from 11:15-noon in Allee Chapel. Free and open to students, faculty, staff, and the greater Mt. New Orleans-based Gina Forsyth is an award-winning singer/songwriter who is known for her wizardry on fiddle and guitar and is considered one of the best Cajun fiddlers in Louisiana (no small feat). She will talk about Louisiana, Cajun French, and Cajun music, as well as play some music. The event will be in English.

Drop by the Van Etten-Lacey House (408 3rd St SW) on Friday afternoons (Weeks 1-3, 3-6 p.m.) to write alongside others in a cozy, inspiring setting. Enjoy coffee, tea, and cinnamon rolls as you write from one of the provided prompts or work independently. Students, faculty, and staff are all welcome. KRNL will broadcast a live interview with The Melvinas, the North American Supertrio featuring Beth Cahill, Gina Forsyth, and Lisa Markley. Tune in to 89.7 FM or listen online at krnl.fm to hear some amazing music and fun interview questions! After the show, The Melvinas will be performing at the Uptown Theater at 7:30 p.m. Mention KRNL for free admission!
