Opens with breath and energy centered embodied practices (i.e. tai-chi or qigong) followed by guided and silent seated meditation. Enfolds insights from integrative health care and spiritual wisdom from age-old Buddhist, Christian contemplative, yoga, Vedanta, and other traditions. Typically ends with loving kindness meditation and/or Himalayan singing bowl sound healing. Led by certified teacher and chaplain. All welcome.

Join us for a presentation by Sean Donaldson, Museum Educator with the African-American Museum in Cedar Rapids, for a discussion on the importance of Juneteenth, the celebration of the day that slavery ended. This event is open to the Cornell College community and the greater local community.

RSVP by Fri. Jan 24 for this popular annual Block Break spirituality retreat (W-F Feb. 5-7) at New Melleray Abbey, a nationally known Trappist monastery nestled in the rolling hills of Eastern Iowa near Dubuque. Savor awe-filled silence, monks chanting the psalms, age-old monastic wisdom and culture, downtime we rarely have together as Cornell students, faculty, and staff, and plenty of personal time to reflect, pray, meditate, and engage in spiritual reading and writing.
