Admitted students and their families will be on campus to learn meet with faculty, staff, and current students to learn more about Cornell as they decide where they will attend college this fall. Wear purple and make our guests welcome!
|11:15 am-11:55 am||Meditation, Mindfulness, & Mind-Body-Spirit - Canceled Allee Chapel|
Opens with breath and energy centered embodied practices (i.e. tai-chi or qigong) followed by guided and silent seated meditation. Enfolds insights from integrative health care and spiritual wisdom from age-old Buddhist, Christian contemplative, yoga, Vedanta, and other traditions. Typically ends with loving kindness meditation and/or Himalayan singing bowl sound healing. Led by certified teacher and chaplain. All welcome.

First Friday Lunches are a casual opportunity for all faculty and staff to get out and eat lunch more regularly with other departments and those newer to the college. Look for reserved tables in Smith Dining Hall and sit by someone new and be entered into a drawing to win a Hilltop Cafe meal voucher (attendees are responsible for purchasing their own meal).

Drop by the Van Etten-Lacey House (408 3rd St SW) on Friday afternoons (Weeks 1-3, 3-6 p.m.) to write alongside others in a cozy, inspiring setting. Enjoy coffee, tea, and cinnamon rolls as you write from one of the provided prompts or work independently. Students, faculty, and staff are all welcome. Contact Madeleine Koenigsberg (mkoenigsberg21) with questions or ideas for collaborations with your class, event, or organization. Everyone is very much welcome!
