Please join the Science Interest Group (SIG) and the Beta Omicron Distinguished Visitor program as we welcome Dr. Joseph Hughes '86, Distinguished Professor of Engineering, Drexel University. Hughes will speak on Thursday, April 5th at 11:10 a.m. in rm #100 in West Science and will discuss the research and activities taking place within the Peace Engineering program created in partnership between the Drexel University College of Engineering and the PeaceTech Lab in Washington, D.C. Peace Engineering is the nation's first program dedicated to preventing and reducing violent conflict through education and research that integrates innovative technologies, approaches, and policies with the studies and practices of peacebuilders. This presentation is relevant to ALL MAJORS but should hold special interest for those interested in International Relations, Global Development, Engineering, and Economics.
